Privacy Policy

Introduction

Effective date: 8 October 2026. Axon is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle information used by its contact manager, optional call-screening features, media tools, mini-games, and website.

Information We Collect

Axon accesses contacts and your photo and video library only after you grant the relevant device permissions. When you enable call blocking, Android may share call-screening details needed for that feature. Contact and media organization happens on your device. If you submit feedback, we collect the information you enter, optional screenshots you attach, your optional email address, app version, device model, and operating-system version to respond to and diagnose the report. If you opt into a mini-game leaderboard, only the display name you choose and your high score are stored in Firebase under a silent anonymous account.

On-Device Storage Policy

Contact details, contact-group names and memberships, ringtone preferences, media organization results, and files kept in Recently Deleted are stored on your device. A custom ringtone you choose is also saved to the relevant Android contact record. Axon does not upload your contacts, call logs, photos, videos, ringtone selections, or their contents to our servers.

Contacts, Calls & Blocking

Contacts permission lets you display, create, edit, organize, and remove contacts. Optional call screening is used to identify or block numbers according to your settings. When you tap Call, Axon may use the Phone permission to start the call while your device’s default phone app shows the calling screen; Axon is not itself a default dialer. Axon does not record call audio, read the system call history, or upload call content.

Media Tools, People & Smart Edit

With Photos and Videos permission, Axon can organize albums, detect faces on-device for People albums, and run Smart Edit tools (including Beauty smooth/slim) entirely on your device. Face detection and Beauty edits use on-device models; face pixels and edited previews are not uploaded for those features. Saving an edit creates a new gallery item; your original remains unless you delete it. Hidden items and favorites are local Axon preferences and do not remove files from your device library.

Mini-Games & Leaderboards

Axon's built-in mini-games keep high scores on your device. If you choose to appear on a leaderboard after a completed game, Axon silently signs in an anonymous Firebase account and stores only your chosen display name (up to 30 characters), your high score, and a timestamp in Cloud Firestore. No contact, media, or device data is tied to that account. To have a leaderboard entry removed, contact us at the address below.

Contact Groups & Custom Ringtones

Groups such as Family, Friends, Unknown, and any custom groups are organizational labels stored locally in Axon. You can add, rename, remove, or change memberships at any time. When you select a custom ringtone, Android’s system ringtone picker provides the selection and Axon writes that setting to the contact only after you choose it.

Use of Firebase

We use Firebase services for crash reports, performance diagnostics, anonymous usage analytics, feedback you explicitly submit (including optional screenshot attachments stored in Firebase Storage), mini-game leaderboards (Anonymous Authentication + Cloud Firestore for the display name and high score you submit), and Firebase Hosting for these public policy pages. Firebase may process app, device, diagnostic, interaction, and standard website-request data. We do not send contacts, call history, media, face crops, Beauty/Smart Edit previews, contact groups, or ringtone selections to Firebase.

Data Retention

Contact and media data remains on your device. Feedback and diagnostic data are retained only for as long as needed to support the app, investigate issues, and comply with legal obligations.

Legal Base for Processing

Our processing is based on your explicit consent granted through system permission prompts and the legitimate interest of providing a secure utility manager.

Users Rights (GDPR)

You can remove local app data by clearing app storage or uninstalling Axon. To request deletion of feedback that includes personal information, contact us using the address below and include enough information for us to identify the submission.

Storage & Access

The app requires access to Contacts and, when you use the gallery organizer, Photos and Videos. Microphone access is requested only when you choose voice search. Phone permission is requested when you place a call so Axon can start the call through Android while the default phone app shows the in-call screen. Optional call blocking uses Android Call Screening and does not request phone-state or answer-call permissions. Axon does not request call-history access or Default Phone. You can revoke permissions in Android Settings; doing so may limit related features.

Data Security

We use the protections provided by your device operating system and minimize access to the data needed for each feature. No security method can guarantee absolute protection, so keep your device protected with its normal screen lock and software updates.

Children's Privacy

Axon is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to Policy

We may update this policy periodically. We will notify you of any significant changes via in-app alerts.
